&lt;p&gt;Together with MoShang, we are building an ESP/ARM-based version of the Groovesizer granular synthesizer. Groovesizer is a DIY granular synth originally running on Atmel chips. It features two voices, a step sequencer, patch saving, and a simple but elegant interface designed for live performance.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The goal of this project is to modernize the hardware and extend it with AT Protocol integration, turning it into a networked, interoperable instrument.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;h2 id="at-protocol-integration"&gt;AT Protocol Integration&lt;/h2&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Adding ATProto connectivity to the Groovesizer hardware opens up several possibilities:&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;ol&gt;
&lt;li&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Live state sync&lt;/strong&gt; — Share knob and switch state between devices in real time during a live setup.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Preset sharing&lt;/strong&gt; — Publish saved presets on a button press; load them on another device instantly.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;&lt;strong&gt;PDS persistence&lt;/strong&gt; — Store live and preset state on a Personal Data Server (PDS), making patches available across the ATProto network and interoperable with other apps. Includes backup via PDSMover and event triggers via If-This-Then-AT.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Universal controller via panproto&lt;/strong&gt; — Share live and patch state across hardware devices and software synths, making the Groovesizer a universal controller for AT-enabled music instruments.&lt;/li&gt;

&lt;h2 id="groovesizer-blue--workshop-edition"&gt;Groovesizer Blue — Workshop Edition&lt;/h2&gt;
&lt;p&gt;A workshop-ready kit designed to be accessible for beginners:&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;ul&gt;
&lt;li&gt;PCB arrives pre-soldered, with only a few through-hole parts (e.g. jumper connectors) left for manual assembly.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Switches and potentiometers are connected via jumper cables that can be hand-soldered before the session.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Optimized for build workshops where participants complete a working instrument in a single session.&lt;/li&gt;
